Driver - Truck & Heavy Vehicle - Leocata'S Transport

Primary Objective: You will be responsible for safely operating a vehicle you are licenced to Drive and providing superior customer service to assigned routes.
Drivers navigate residential environments, congested roads, and high traffic areas all while ensuring your vehicle remains in compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as company standards.
At Leocata's Transport, based in Tatura, VIC, we have various positions for Transport Drivers.

Main Duties: • Transport freight to required destinations in a timely manner keeping safe and taking reasonable care of your own health and safety as well as others • Completing Prestart inspecting vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues • Ensure truck and trailer are correctly equipped • Document and complete work diary to ensure work rest hours are completed • Document and adhere to mass dimensions and loads.
• Mass verifications completed and documented • Using correct load restraints to ensure loads are restrained to ensure safety of other road users • Ability to drive long hours and travel within legal rest and work hours • Meet delivery schedules in liaison with the schedulers and customers • Paperwork completed in a legible manner • Follow traffic laws • Ensure all incidents and injuries are reported immediately to prevent aggravation of injuries or incident reoccurring • Ensure site inductions are completed Business Operations: • Assist with investigation delivery /pick up issues and resolve to everyone's satisfaction • Attend medical appointments as advised by management • attend Drug and alcohol testing as advised • Attend training when required • Attend toolbox meetings when required • Keep Truck and equipment in a clean manner • Tasks and duties may change due to the changing environment in consultation to meet business requirements Leadership: • Engage in work health & safety issues.
• At all times to represent Leocata's Transport in a positive and professional manner, recognising the key role you have as primary contact between the customers, the public and Leocata's Transport Specialist Advisors & Consultants • Engage with external consultants, Auditors when required • Attend training when required • Engage with Medical provider when completing Fit to drive medical.
Customers: • Assist with customers to achieve and maintain relationships with relevant Leocata's policies and procedures.
• Meet time slots if safe to do so Physical Activities: • The position requires a high level of mobility • Sustained levels of concentration and skill to maintain maximum performance Safety Compliance & Risk Management With Regulators: • workplace safety and wellbeing requirements in line with ISO45001 • Comply with tasks in line with Business HACCP accreditation • Comply with tasks in line with Support operations to execute Leocata's site-based safety initiatives • Drivers must also report to the driver licensing authority when they become aware of a health condition that may affect their ability to drive safely.
• Completing Fit for work • Completing Prestart inspecting vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues • Document and log work/rest periods and kilometres spent driving • Completing and documenting Mass information • Completing documenting and recalibrating of gauges where required • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and assist with solution development and implementation • Using Leocata's COR systems • Fuelling vehicle and keeping documentation when required Dispute Resolution: • Assist and support the business in resolving disputes raised in relation to customer complaints • On time delivery performance Essential requirements: • Current and Valid Licence for a Truck driver • Current medical fit to Drive.
• Current Work Diary • Understanding of Mass and verifications • Understanding of road legislation and laws • Legible written and verbal skills • Can organise and prioritise tasks.
• Good driving record • Can work in a fast-changing environment.
• At least 2 years' of experience as truck driver • High regard for safe work practices • Keep work area clean.
Desirable criteria: • BFM Training • Understanding of Basic Tech knowledge • Basic Mechanical Knowledge Salary - $70,000 - $80,000 plus super Only eligible and shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
