Mining - Drill & Blast (Mining, Resources & Energy) Full time Add expected salary to your profile for insights Drill & Blast EngineerThe Drill & Blast Engineer is responsible for the planning, optimising, and monitoring of Drill and Blast (D&B) activities. This role is also responsible for the design of drill and blast patterns whilst ensuring compliance to environmental regulations and managing costs.Key Responsibilities:Coordinate the drill and blast function to ensure blasted stocks are maintained to achieve mining rates within budget.Produce and review of drill and blast designs and tie-ins.Monitor and reconciliation of drilling and blasting performance in areas such as drilling rates, spatial and physical compliance against daily and weekly plans, wall attainment and costs.Weekly and monthly reconciliation of blast performance including the review of QA/QC data, fragmentation analysis and dilution/ore loss from blasting.Develop and improve the Drill and Blast function's systems and procedures to ensure, clearly defined processes exist and are continually improved.Provide inputs and planning for the annual business plan and forecasts.Manage Drill and Blast related software applications and effectiveness.Develop and implement continuous improvement projects and trials.Assist with the daily production planning.Providing highly accurate data entry, validation, and technical analysis.Duties:Reporting any suspected breach or intervening or stopping work rather than breaching a Life Saving Rule.Contribute to the effective control of expenditure to ensure a cost effective, efficient mining operation.Contribute, respect and be proactive in adopting procedures that minimize environmental impact by the mining operation and actively contribute to management of life of mine.Familiarise and strictly comply with PLS QSE policies, procedures, and guidelines.Ensure that all company information is kept private and confidential.About you:A degree in Mining / Open Pit Mining Certification3-5 years experience in a similar role ideally in hard rock mining of pegmatite depositsBe an excellent communicator with leadership skillsWA C class driver's licenceProficient in Microsoft Office and Mine planning software preferablyVulcan/Surpac/Deswik and AlastriTo express interest in this role, please apply now or contact Kirsty Quinn at ****** Your application will include the following questions: Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?
