Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world. In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland's Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in North West Queensland and Western Australia.
Dawson is located at the southern end of the Bowen Basin in Central Queensland, being just over a 2hrs drive west from either Rockhampton or Gladstone, or 4.5hrs drive north of the Darling Downs or South Burnett.
Job DescriptionDawson Mine are currently seeking an experienced Dragline Supervisor to assist in overseeing a dragline team. You will be responsible for:
Coordination of personnel, equipment and resources.Ensure site dragline activities are undertaken in a safe, cost effective and efficient manner in line with agreed operational standards and targets working as one team.Enforce plan compliance and promote engineer and operator engagement to ensure that the business can meet production targets.Ensure compliance with statutory legislative requirements.Show exceptional communication and people skills, possessing knowledge and experience with an ability to build relationships and work in a team environment.This is your opportunity to join a team of passionate and supportive industry leading experts contributing to a positive culture of continuous improvement!
