About the opportunity The Draftsperson reports to the Drafting Manager and is part of the Drafting team. In this highly rewarding role, your focus will be to complete detail designs and variations for our superior quality homes, completed within specified timelines and budgets. More specifically, your responsibilities will include:
Work through allocated jobs aiming towards reaching shared team targets on a weekly basisComplete all stages of drafting work including preparation of preliminary plans, building approvals, all the way through to working drawings and detailing design customisationEnsure best cost outcome for clients and construction methodsInteracting with multiple internal stakeholders including sales consultants, estimators, colour selection consultants and compliance teams Problem solving construction and drafting related matters Actioning any request for further information (RFI's) if required. Ensuring homes are designed to res-code, Tas Building schemes, building codes and checking for covenants and developers requirementsAbout you To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment to the purpose and core values of Wilson Homes and NEX Building Group along with:
3 years experience in residential building draftingExperience and proficiency in ArchiCad (essential)Thorough knowledge of building code, residential code, covenants and developer requirementsHigh attention to detail and take great pride in your workExcellent interpersonal, written and verbal communicationEffective time managementExtensive construction knowledgeAbility to work effectively in a teamInterested? The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening and depending on the inherent requirements of the role, may involve the completion of a National Police Check and pre-employment medical.
