About the Role Location: Parramatta, NSWHours: Permanent Full-time (Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm)Salary: SCHADS 4.1 $85,125 per year + salary packaging benefits + 11.5% SuperannuationRole Type: Permanent and be part of an on-call rosterSupervision: Independently manage the safe house during the day, overseeing day-to-day tasksThe Case Manager role aims to support and provide crisis accommodation for those experiencing domestic and family violence. The Case Manager will focus on updating policy, procedures, and guidelines, reflective of child protection issues; issues facing vulnerable families; principles of early intervention and the importance of children's early years on later outcomes; and of children's developmental stages and practical parenting skills.
This role will also partner with external providers to build relationships, with Case Managers to guide case analysis and implement strategies to build each family's capacity and resilience, and also offer direct case management support to children.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide end-to-end case management support for clients engaged through our accommodation program.Develop, implement, monitor, and review individual case plans, ensuring they are realistic and needs-focused.Advocate for clients and coordinate referrals to appropriate services to meet their needs.Maintain accurate documentation of client records, ensuring compliance with organisational and legislative requirements.Lead internal team and case management meetings, including allocating duties to support staff when required.Work in partnership with external providers to build relationships and create referral pathways, enhancing the support we provide.Qualifications: Diploma qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, or relevant disciplineThree (3) years or more experience in case management or relevant work experience in women, young people or child protection.Current driver's licenceNSW Working with Children Check (Service NSW)First Aid CertificateThe role is designated for a female under section 31 of the Anti-Discrimination ActWhat you need to succeed: Case Management Experience: Proven experience working with women affected by domestic violence or young mothers at risk of homelessness or early childhood challenges.Organisational Skills: Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail, especially in preparing reports, managing caseloads, and scheduling follow-up appointments.Strengths-Based and Child Safety Approach: Ability to work with families facing complex issues, utilizing a strengths-based approach to build resilience and promoting child safety standards.Collaboration & Referral Expertise: Demonstrated experience in liaising with multidisciplinary professionals to develop partnerships, create referral pathways, and ensure seamless service provision for clients.Assessment and Referral: Proficient in conducting assessments and facilitating referrals to a variety of services, ensuring clients access the support they need.Recovery-Oriented Model: Experience in working within a recovery-oriented framework, adopting a person- and family-centred approach that promotes long-term wellbeing and stability.Group Facilitation: Proven ability to facilitate group programs or sessions, fostering engagement and supporting the development of essential life skills for families.Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including maintaining accurate, comprehensive case documentation and reports.Further to this, we offer: Tax-free salary packaging entitlements of up to $15,990 per year and packaged meal & entertainment card of up to $2,650 per year (visit https://accesspay.com.au/ for more information)Hands-on training, development and mentoring with a leading providerStaff discounts and cash-back programs with major retailersFlexible work arrangementsFurther information on the role can be found in the: Case Manager Position Description Should you have any questions, please contact Sarah from Uniting's Talent Acquisition Team at ****** for more information.
