The Australia New Zealand region employs a large workforce across a significant operational footprint.About the RoleThe Divisional Head of Injury, Health & Wellbeing will manage all workers compensation matters for 4 Divisions operating within SA, VIC, NSW & TAS across a number of schemes/models. This includes broker and insurer relationships, relationships with various regulatory departments, and all internal relationships with respect to workers compensation claims, financial risk exposure, policy renewals, and policy management and annual provisioning with respect to the various policy requirements.Additionally, you will be responsible for:Developing and implementing strategic priorities and optimising management to improve workers' compensation service deliveryFormulating risk management strategies to reduce the impact of workplace injuriesDeveloping and implementing systems to monitor, review and manage service standards, performance and targets for the DivisionsDriving engagement through regular communication and feedback forums with key stakeholdersAbout YouDemonstrated experience leading workers compensation function at an Enterprise or Divisional Level for a large, complex, matrix style organisation with a large blue collar workforceSound understanding of the legislation relating to workers compensation for the various jurisdictions through Australia, including the NSW Larger Employer Program, Retro Paid Loss Schemes, and Burner Schemes.Sound understanding of the process involved in Public Liability Claims specifically relating to personal injury claimsRelevant qualifications in Business, Risk Management or a related disciplineEnergetic, passionate and enthusiastic with a demonstrated focus on system improvementCollaborative, able to engage effectively at all levels of the organisationHighly driven, able to work autonomously and as part of a teamAbout ApplyingAt The Safe Step we embrace individuality and differences in gender, age, ethnicity, race, cultural background, disability, faith and sexual orientation.
