About the RoleThe Divisional Head of Injury, Health & Wellbeing will manage all workers compensation matters for 4 Divisions operating within SA, VIC, NSW & TAS across a number of schemes/models.
This includes broker and insurer relationships, relationships with various regulatory departments, and all internal relationships with respect to workers compensation claims, financial risk exposure, policy renewals, and policy management and annual provisioning with respect to the various policy requirements.Additionally, you will be responsible for:
Developing and implementing strategic priorities and optimising management to improve workers' compensation service delivery.Formulating risk management strategies to reduce the impact of workplace injuries.Developing and implementing systems to monitor, review and manage service standards, performance and targets for the Divisions.Driving engagement through regular communication and feedback forums with key stakeholders.About YouTo be successful in this role, you will need:
Demonstrated experience leading workers compensation function at an Enterprise or Divisional Level for a large, complex, matrix style organisation with a large blue collar workforce.Sound understanding of the legislation relating to workers compensation for the various jurisdictions through Australia, including the NSW Larger Employer Program, Retro Paid Loss Schemes, and Burner Schemes.Sound understanding of the process involved in Public Liability Claims specifically relating to personal injury claims.Relevant qualifications in Business, Risk Management or a related discipline.Energetic, passionate and enthusiastic with a demonstrated focus on system improvement.Collaborative, able to engage effectively at all levels of the organisation.Highly driven, able to work autonomously and as part of a team.About ApplyingAt The Safe Step we embrace individuality and differences in gender, age, ethnicity, race, cultural background, disability, faith and sexual orientation.
