Diversity And Inclusion (Program Manager)

This position is located in the Office of the Executive Director, Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS/EX). Youwill serve as the Diversity and Inclusion Adviser (DIA) for the Bureau responsible for developing the strategic plan, vision, goals, objectives, guidance, and procedures for diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) that align with the Department DEIA goals.
Applicants must meet all the required qualification requirements described below by the closing date of this announcement.

NOTE: Applicants must meet time-in-grade and time after competitive appointment requirements, by the closing date of this announcement.

Time-In-Grade Requirements: Federal applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade to satisfy time-in-grade restrictions, per 5CFR 300, Subpart F.

Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

-Experience participating in the development and implementation of strategies designed to build and sustain a diverse workforce and inclusive work environment;

-Experience participating in the formulation of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility program policies and goals;

-Experience planning and carrying out a wide range of DEIA initiatives and programs that include curriculum and instructional design, consultation, and other advanced components of training and education programs; AND

-Experience providing outreach and liaison support for an office or organization.

There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-14 position.
