The OpportunityReporting to the Director of Operations – APAC, this role is responsible for managing and operating the day to day Warehouse & Distribution Operations in Brisbane. This includes:
Achieving Zero HarmWarehouse ManagementManaging logistics & transportationQuality and compliance monitoringStrategic planning and improvementWhat you'll doDrive an Environmental, Health & Safety focus within the team and manage day to day Zero Harm in conjunction with all team members and EHS Business PartnersWork with the Director of Operations and key Operations stakeholders to develop and deliver on our FY Operating Plan, Values and KPIs / Metrics for the distribution centreDaily leadership of Managers & Team Leaders in warehouse and loading operations to safely and efficiently coordinate customer pickups, inbound and outbound transfers and direct customer deliveriesSupport daily operations, removal of distractions and disruptions and provide timely feedback to customers, Supply Administration and Customer Link in the event of delayDevelop, Deploy and Check/Adjust new systems and processes to drive productive and effective warehouse operations while managing and controlling costsLead the improvement of processes, methods of operating and practices within the Distribution CentreLead the planning and controlling of weekly & monthly labour and equipment requirements to achieve budgeted performance, priorities and deadlines.Manage stocktake and cycle count processes to ensure stock level accuracy in SAPMonitor distribution centre performance against agreed KPIsDrive development and implementation of best practice standards in all operationsUndertake and coordinate project work as required by the businessWhat you'll bringMinimum 10 years in a distribution, warehouse and logistics leadership roleDegree qualified with a major in supply chain management or related field preferredExperience in direct supervision and management of freight and transport companiesHands on approach to developing and mentoring the warehouse teams to drive operational improvements through staff developmentVery strong analytical skillsets including ability to analyse and interpret data and make judgement calls accordinglyHas worked in a 16hr to 24hr operationsAdvanced competency in Microsoft Office and experience working withExtensive experience with Warehouse Management and Transport Management SystemsWorking @ James HardieAt James Hardie, our people are at the centre of everything we do.
