About the role
We have an opportunity for a Disposal Officer to be part of our Ballistics Investigation Section / Weapons and Ordnance Disposal Unit, Forensic Evidence and Technical Services Command. The Disposal Officer facilitates the accurate recording, processing and storage of firearms, prohibited weapons/articles, dangerous goods, explosive/security sensitive dangerous substances and related exhibits submitted for destruction to the Weapons & Ordnance Disposal Unit (WODU).

The position is predominantly to provide support to the Weapons & Ordnance Disposal Unit whose primary role is to provide Weapons Disposal services to the NSW Police Force. Characteristics that are essential to the role include, but are not limited to:
