Andrews Meat Industries is a leading food service meat supplier comprising three key divisions: foodservice, value added (cooked) and export. Across these divisions, the company supplies to all areas of the hospitality industry, including restaurants, cafes, hotels, clubs, and resort groups, as well as servicing a number of other market segments, including health and aged care, education, aviation, and sporting venues.
With a significant international presence, Andrews Meat Industries currently exports premium quality meat products to 25 destinations throughout Asia, North America, the Middle East, and Europe.
About the role: We currently have an opening for our full-time Dispatch Officer role which has been designed to smooth out the dispatch process and alleviate pain points across the packing and transport team.
We have a fleet of 35+ trucks leaving our production site around mid-morning every day to deliver just-in-time goods to our valued foodservice customers.
Work hours: 38 hours a week plus overtime when required. Start time lies between 2am and 4am. 8-hour shifts.
Hours allow for school run pick-ups!
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Provide full support in packing area to ensure deliveries go out promptly. Escalate gaps in dispatch delays and adhere to dispatch schedules. Ensure dispatched goods meet all requirements including quality, timeframes, and labelling. Organising and preparing pallets for drivers to load into trucks. Act as a back-up delivery driver when required. Assist with picking and packing when required. About you: Full driver licence (a must). Speed and accuracy (attention to detail). Highly organised.
