Our client requires experienced Disability Support Workers who have experience supporting people with mental health conditions and challenging behaviors. This role reports to an Area Manager, who supports and trains you to ensure you deliver exceptional care.
About the Role:In-home care assisting and enabling participants with daily tasks including meal preparation, personal care, and administering medication.Assisting with domestic duties around the home.Supporting clients to engage and participate in their community.Support and enable participants to achieve their goals.About You:Minimum 1 plus years of experience in the disability sector.Experience supporting aggressive clients.Valid CPR & First Aid certificates.Minimum Certificate III in Disability or similar/higher.Good communication skills.Empathy for the issues facing people with a disability.Strong belief in the principles of Person-Centred Practices.Highly organised and proactive.NDIS worker's check.NSW Driver's License (or similar) plus own car is desirable.Our Benefits:Flexible working environment.Buddy shifts with experienced Disability Support Practitioners.Learning and development opportunities.Opportunities to transition into Permanent Part-Time employment.Support & mentor people with Disabilities and make a difference.Attractive and Competitive Pay Rates (SCHADS Award).Opportunities to move into permanent roles.How to apply & next steps:
