Role Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Support Worker to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will work within the NDIS, DVA, and VHC funding frameworks to assist clients in achieving their goals and enhancing their independence and community participation. You will provide support to individuals with disabilities and/or psychosocial needs, helping them navigate daily living tasks while promoting positive behaviors, learning experiences, and skill development.
Responsibilities and Duties: Accompany clients on social outings, shopping trips, and to GP/specialist appointments. Provide assistance with daily living activities, including toileting, showering, and dressing. Perform light domestic duties and assist with meal preparation and eating. Administer medications as required. Communicate with families and representatives of clients as needed. Skills, Attributes, and Experience: The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to person-centred care that respects clients' choices and goals. You should possess excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain meaningful relationships with clients and show a willingness to contribute positively to the broader home and community team.
Key Criteria: NDIS Worker Screening Check. Proof of working rights (passport or visa). Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle. A Working with Children Check. Certificate III or IV in Disability or related field. Minimum of 2 years of experience in the disability sector.
