About the Opportunity We are currently seeking passionate and experienced Lifestyle Attendants to expand our Supported Independent Living (SIL) team based in the southern suburbs of Adelaide .
We currently have casual and permanent part-time vacancies available.
The roles will encompass day shifts as well as passive night sleepovers over weekdays and weekends.
To be successful in the role, you will require previous experience working with customers with significant behaviours of concern.
This includes, but is not limited to experience working with and following behaviour support plans, and utilising de-escalation techniques whilst working under pressure.
You will be apart of a collaborative team, delivering individualised and flexible support to make a positive impact and enhance the quality of life for our customers.
About You The successful applicant will have experience within a SIL environment and will show the following attributes: Previous experience utilising intervention and de-escalation techniques to support emotional regulation.
Able to show initiative and work successfully both in a team environment and autonomously.
Demonstrated experience in supporting people with intellectual disabilities and a sound knowledge of supporting people with challenging behaviours is essential.
Passion, professionalism and integrity within their role.
Flexibility to cover teammates when sickness or leave occurs.
Previous experience in behaviour supports is essential.
Knowledge of neurofibromatosis is desired or a willingness to learn.
A willingness to work with participants, fellow staff, and relevant professionals to support the participants goals.
Ability to show initiative and work successfully both in a team environment and autonomously.
