As a Support Worker in Seymour, you'll be part of a dedicated team at a Supported Independent Living Residential House.
Your responsibilities will include helping clients with daily living tasks, addressing complex behavioral needs, and offering compassionate care and assistance.
We are seeking a support worker who is available to work from 3 PM onwards during the week, as well as for sleepover and weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities: Adhere to a regular roster, including weekends and active nights.Assist clients with daily activities: medication administration, personal care, domestic duties, meal preparation, dressing, personal hygiene, and community access.Follow care plans and procedures meticulously.Maintain accurate documentation, including progress notes and incident reports.Engage in supervision and ongoing training.Ensure compliance with work practices and uphold client confidentiality.Perform additional duties as required.Essential Skills and Traits: Deep empathy and a genuine passion for caring.Proficiency in non-verbal communication and manual handling tasks.Strong collaborative skills within a team setting.Experience with medication administration and hoisting.Excellent personal care skills, including showering and toileting.Strong time-management, reliability, and punctuality.Ability to handle challenging environments with resilience.Experience & Qualifications: Certificate IV in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability, Nursing, or equivalent.A Nursing qualification both RN and ENs are highly desirable.Minimum of 1-year full-time experience in Australia within Health/Aged Care/Disability Services.Licenses & Certifications: Qualification in Health/Aged Care/Disability Services (required).NDIS Worker Screening Check ID or ability to obtain one (required).Current First Aid & CPR Certificate or ability to obtain one (required).Administration of Medication certification (preferred).Current Driver's License, own car, and comprehensive/third-party insurance (preferred).Working with Children's Check (Employee) or ability to obtain one (preferred).If you feel you are a good fit with our values and are passionate about enhancing the quality of life of people with disabilities, this role is for you!
