Core Responsibilities: Empower Lives: Provide person-centred support to individuals with disabilities, assisting them with daily living activities, personal care, and community engagement.Foster a Safe Environment: Foster a safe, nurturing environment that champions independence, dignity, and respect for each individual.Collaborative Care: Work alongside clients, their families, and other professionals to develop and implement personalised care plans.Be an Advocate: Stand up for the rights and needs of individuals with disabilities, ensuring their voices are heard and respected.Document Success: Maintain accurate records of client progress, achievements, and any incidents, adhering to organisational policies and procedures.Keep Growing: Continuously enhance your skills and knowledge through training and professional development.Qualifications & Experience: A genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and a commitment to making a positive difference in their lives.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trusting relationships.Empathy, patience, and a compassionate nature to provide the best possible care and support.Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and situations.Certificate III or IV in Disability Support, Individual Support, or a related field (preferred but not essential).Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).Valid driver's license.Satisfactory NDIS Worker Screening Check, Police Check and Working with Children Check.NDIS 'New Worker Orientation' module (prior to appointment).To review the position description, please click here.
