How you'll make an impact Due to continuous and exciting growth, we're currently recruiting for multiple Disability Support Workers to join our team to support clients based in the Drummond/Daylesford region.
You will be responsible for providing quality support to participants who are living in purpose built homes and their own family homes.
The hours of work available are varied including weekday shifts, evening, and weekend shifts. Penalty rates apply on weekends, Public Holidays, after 8pm and after 12 pm.
About you To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to have demonstrated experience providing support to participants with high complex needs and or behaviours of concern.
Essential to the role will be a thorough understanding of working with people with disabilities -physical and behavioural, an ability to maintain professional boundaries and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
You will also have the following skills and attributes:
Certificate 4 level qualification in a relevant fieldClear and effective communication skills and ability to establish professional relationships with participants and their familiesAttention to detail and accuracy in record managementFlexibility to work over a 7-day roster and the availability to work overnight shifts or attend training or meetings as requiredNDIS Worker Screening Clearance or willing to obtainFirst Aid, CPR, WWCC and NDIS Worker Orientation moduleCurrent Driver's License with access to a comprehensively insured vehicle (mandatory).Employment with CareChoice is subject to satisfactory background checks which include Professional References, Employee Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
