About the role This Supported Independent Living (SIL) opportunity is supporting a male client with disability in their own home, providing various supports including personal care and daily living assistance. You can expect to work across a 24/7 roster.
Responsibilities Work flexibly on a 24/7 roster. Ability to work sleepover is essential. Shifts primarily fall between Monday to Friday, weekend availability may be required. Community access and transportation assistance. Support client in their day-to-day life by empowering them to find their strengths and build their capacity to live independently. Offer opportunities for choice, self-expression, and active involvement across all facets of our daily care services. Skills & Experience An unrestricted New South Wales driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle is required. Committed to work flexible work hours across the week, including public holidays. Demonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop. A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011. To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate, in accordance with Life Without Barriers Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination status during the recruitment process.
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check, NDIS and Working with Children Checks (where relevant to the role).
