Qualifications and Skills
Holds a Diploma or certificate in social work, Certificate IV or III in Community, Aged Care, Disability or equivalent
Experiential knowledge in caring for or assisting individuals with disabilities and handling behaviors of concerns
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trusting relationships with diverse individuals and groups.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedules, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Must be patient, empathetic, and able to handle difficult situations.
Good physical health and stamina, able to perform necessary manual handling tasks
Responsibilities and Duties
Assist individuals with daily tasks and activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and mobility
Support individuals in household tasks
Develop support plans to suit individuals' needs and goals
Encourage and facilitate community participation and independence
Offer emotional support and companionship
Maintain clear, honest, and regular communication with individuals and their families
Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times
Build and maintain positive relationships with clients
Facilitate community access

Mandatory Requirements
NDIS Worker Screening check (5 years validity)
First aid (valid for 3 years only)
CPR (valid for 1 year only)
COVID vaccine certificate
Police Check (within 1 year only)
Working with children check
NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
Valid Victorian Driver's License and reliable transportation (if applicable).
Comprehensive Car insurance (mandatory)
Visa Documents/Eligibility in working in Australia
