Disability Services provides high-quality services aimed at supporting individuals to remain independent within the community.
About you Our Disability Support Workers (DSW) provide quality care and support to people with disabilities to create and live the lifestyle of their choosing while empowering them to have a voice and achieve their goals.
Services which may include: Supporting clients to reach their goals through direct and group based activities including community access and engagement.
Providing individual personal care services.
Performing a range of domestic duties including cleaning, shopping, and cooking.
Assisting to develop, review and update support plans that are achievable and client-focused.
Skills, Experience & Requirements Experience and knowledge in the Disability sector.
Certificate III Individual Support or Certificate IV Disability or similar.
Knowledge of and respect for the rights and choices of clients and their families.
Person-Centred approach to providing care and services.
Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
Current Level 2 First Aid and CPR Certificate.
Current valid Victorian Driver's Licence.
NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children's Check.
Valid vaccinations status for COVID-19 and flu vaccination.
You may be required to work a range of morning, afternoon, weekend and full day shifts.
