Disability Empowerment and Support Foundation (DESF) DESF provides staff to various SIL Providers in WA with services from administration to disability support workers.
Job Description The Disability Empowerment and Support Foundation is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as a Disability Support Staff member.
This is a permanent, full-time position and will be in Perth or Mandurah As a Disability Support Staff member, you will play a crucial role in providing assistance and support to individuals with disabilities.
Your main responsibilities will include: Assisting individuals with daily tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores Supporting individuals in accessing community resources and participating in social activities Implementing personalised support plans to meet the specific needs of each individual Providing emotional support and encouragement to promote independence and well-being Monitoring and documenting the progress of individuals, reporting any concerns to the appropriate supervisor Collaborating with healthcare professionals, family members, and external agencies to ensure personalised care for individuals with disabilities Adhering to all organisationpolicies, procedures, and standards of care The ideal candidate for this role will possess excellent communication skills, empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for making a positive impact in the lives of others.
Experience in disability support or a related field is desirable.
