Director, Youth and Social WorkFull-time TemporaryClassification: Health Professional Level 5Salary: $135,355 - $152,377 plus superannuationPosition No: 57671Directorate: Education Advertised (Gazettal date): 13 June 2024Contact Officer: Joan Webb ****** or(02) 6205 1310 Details: Clinical practice is responsible for the management of youth and social workers, allied health and school psychology services in all ACT public schools and contributes to the strategic direction of the Engagement and Wellbeing Support Service branch.The Director of Youth and Social Work service:Manages multidisciplinary teams to provide timely, high-quality services for students and families in education settings;Strengthens student outcomes through delivery of evidence-based universal, selected and targeted supports for students and school staff within a risk framework;Implements capacity building for schools through a strong understanding of student needs to access and participate in learning and school life;Leads the strategic vision of the service in collaboration with key stakeholders; andChampions the Directorate's strategic vision, commitments, and continuous service improvement.Eligibility/Other requirements:MandatoryAppropriate Tertiary Qualifications. For health professionals, relevant membership, or eligibility for membership with your respective professional body is required.A minimum of 5 years work experience is required.Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) - Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required.
