Location(s): Singapore City/Cities: Singapore Travel Required: 26% - 50% Job Posting End Date: October 30, 2024 Job Description Summary: This role will work in partnership with the Senior Director, Sustainability and the system networked team on the policy advocacy, development of human rights protections in the collection value chain and the formation of strong industry initiatives needed to deliver on Coca-Cola's sustainable packaging vision - World Without Waste - across South East Asia and South Pacific (ASP). Focus, scope and impact: This position will work in cross-functional World Without Waste project teams across Operations, Technical & Supply Chain, Commercial and Marketing to help bring the Design, Collect and Partner pillars of the strategy to life in the ASP Operating Unit (OU) and align our bottlers on realistic roadmaps towards our sustainable packaging goals.Collaborate with regional Public Affairs and Technical leads in the establishment of strong Packaging Recovery Organisations (PROs) in key markets and assisting these initiatives with system, industry and other external partners to drive understanding, momentum and scale.Working closely with the Government and Public Policy Director, lead on ASP packaging policy advocacy to enable cost effective and efficient collection models and enabling policies for recycled content across the OU.Represent the ASP OU on packaging sustainability in trans-regional industry bodies and partners such as International Council of Beverage Associations, Food Industry Asia, United Nations Environment Program, Circulate Capital and others.Lead the development and implementation of human rights protections in the System's collection and recycling investments in the ASP OU.Monitor, map, share and develop recommendations in response to emerging trends in packaging sustainability.Work closely with the ASP Communications Director on strategies to promote and protect the Company's reputation as we work towards delivering our goals.Work with the Community and Stakeholder Manager to identify partners and programs that advance our agenda and help to scale these across the OU. Experience required: Bachelor's degree required, public affairs, policy background preferred.10 years' experience in public affairs in public, private or NGO sector; subject-matter knowledge of sustainability, packaging policy design; experience working across multi-cultural, matrixed organizations.Developed stakeholder network; Good interpersonal skills with ability to communicate complex issues to drive tangible business actions. Work Focus: Ability to build constructive relationships and influence both convergent and divergent stakeholders representing company positions while building partnerships that enable the company to scale its impact and achieve its sustainability goals. Excellent project management skills.
