Director (Senior Leadership Recruitment)

We are seeking a highly ethical and strategically focused leader, who can drive results in a complex and layered first response emergency service environment.

You will have proven experience leading the delivery of recruitment services for senior leaders that produce transparent and legislatively compliant outcomes across a geographically dispersed workforce. Alongside your depth and breadth of experience in recruitment at a senior level, you will demonstrate an alignment with the QPS values.

You will play a vital role in ensuring the QPS has capable and committed leaders that meet the expectations placed on the QPS by the Queensland Community.

Your Key Accountabilities

Lead and manage, as panel chair, all aspects of senior leadership recruitment in a large and dynamic organisation to support the efficient delivery of a fair, transparent and effective promotion system.Proven ability to prepare complex confidential documents, submissions and other high level written communication to support the effective management of senior leadership recruitment.Lead the development and implementation of continual improvement of recruitment systems, practices and processes to ensure best practice, legislative compliance and the mitigation of corporate risk.Provide professional, authoritative analysis, timely strategic advice and evidence-based recommendations to senior executives on emerging trends and issues in recruitment practices.Proven ability to effectively represent the QPS before internal and external tribunals, hearings and forums.Build, influence and sustain partnerships and networks with key internal and external stakeholders and negotiate outcomes to support the achievement of organisational objectives.Proven ability to display courage and perseverance using high level negotiation and leadership skills in providing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback.Role Requirements

Whilst there are no mandatory requirements for this role, relevant qualifications or demonstrated experience in applying and interpreting legislation would be highly regarded.Applications to remain current for 12 months.
