Here at the NSW Reconstruction Authority, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to serve as our Director Recovery Readiness and Programs. This role is pivotal in leading the development of strategies, plans and policies to support communities of NSW prepare for and recover after disasters.
As the Director Recovery Readiness and Programs, you will: Be responsible for providing expert advice and recommendations on the design, governance, and delivery of key policies and programs that fulfill our responsibilities under the NSW Reconstruction Act.Oversee the delivery of Natural Disaster Declarations and ensure alignment with emergency management agencies and State Recovery Committee representatives.Promote cross-government collaboration to ensure effective and ready-to-go recovery approaches.About You We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader with: The ability to align program design and delivery with the Reconstruction Act, Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements and related government legislation.Knowledge and hands-on experience with formal project management methodologies with the ability to implement best practice, manage project times and ensure project completion.Exceptional stakeholder skills with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of government.Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.If you're ready to lead diverse programs, manage competing agendas, and make a tangible difference in communities' recovery journeys, we want to hear from you. About the Agency
The NSW Reconstruction Authority is a statutory corporation that will improve how NSW plans for disasters and ensure that we recover from them faster.
To reduce the severity and impacts of disasters, the NSW Reconstruction Authority will complete critical planning and preparation with communities, businesses and government. When disaster does strike, we will get recovery started swiftly and coordinate reconstruction efforts across agencies, communities and other stakeholders.
