We have a phenomenal opportunity for a strategic Director, Portfolio Optimisation to join the Consumer COO Risk & Regulatory Delivery team at Westpac. You will lead a successful team accountable for Portfolio management and project governance services, including health, financial, risk and issues reporting, to ensure a consistent approach to delivering projects aligned to Divisional and Enterprise guidelines and standards.
How will I help? Support Head of Risk & Regulatory Program Delivery and Portfolio Directors in managing the governance services model, aligned to Divisional and Enterprise standardsLead team of PMO Professionals (PMO Managers and PMO Analysts)Establish and oversee the project health evaluation process, including reporting, funding, project compliance, risks and issues, and tracking of major project milestones across the portfolioEstablish, oversee and maintain the Consumer Risk & Regulatory "Centre of Excellence" operating rhythm and executive reportingMonitor and report on regulator and Board commitments, including breach reporting to regulators.Lead workforce planning and capability to ensure effective delivery of resource and workforce related initiatives and strategies, actively managing cost optimisationDrive consistency through programs through use of aligned tools and processesOwn overall Program adherence to Transformation Delivery Standards and consult on right sizing for ProgramsLiaise with key PMO and Finance stakeholders, within the Division and across the Enterprise; ensuring that obligations and commitments are realistic and achievable with existing program timeline and budgets What's in it for me?

What do I need?
To be successful in this role, you will have significant demonstrated experience in a similar role ideally gained from the Financial Services industry. You will be a natural communicator with exceptional relationship management skills, enabling you to effectively influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders to drive strategic outcomes. You will also have robust analytical and advisory abilities, with the capability to deliver clear, actionable recommendations that enhance business performance and growth. In addition, you will have a results-driven mindset, and brilliant problem-solving and team leadership abilities.
