As Director, People and Culture, you will lead the delivery of strategic and operational people and culture functions that enable the Crime and Corruption Commission to reduce crime and improve the integrity of public institutions. You will lead a team of Human Resources Business Partners, Human Resources Administrators, the Indigenous Advisor, and the Security and Facilities Management team to deliver high quality and efficient services to internal clients. You will assist leaders to attract, develop and manage the best talent. You will also support a workforce that feels strongly connected to the Commission, treats each other with respect and derives a high level of satisfaction for the variable, challenging and important work that they do for the people of Queensland.

About you
The ideal applicant will demonstrate capability in the following requirements:
Providing expert advice and recommendations to the Chief Executive Officer, the Commission and executive management on contemporary people management issues.
Leading, monitoring and assuring the provision of high quality and efficient services (including payroll, recruitment and retention, workplace health and safety, employment contracts and conditions, workforce planning, industrial relations, performance management, and security and facilities) and ensuring they are delivered to the required standards.
Providing effective leadership to the People and Culture team which unites the team around purpose, priorities and performance.
Delivering continuous business improvement activities and projects within time, cost and quality constraints.
Demonstrate sound governance through participation and leadership or strategic and operational committees including, but not limited to, the Organisational Safety and Wellbeing Committee, the Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group, the Wellbeing Working Group, the Values and Culture Group and the Consultative Committee.
Monitoring trends and changes in strategic human resource management initiatives and employment conditions within the public sector, and mitigating risk through compliance with relevant legislative requirements, policies and procedures.
Liaising with external agencies and organisations on human resource issues and act as the Commission's representative at forums and on committees.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate experience leading a People and Culture function previously. If you haven't led a function previously, you must be able to demonstrate at least five (5) years' experience as a Senior HR Business Partner and have had team leadership experience.
