An exciting opportunity is currently available for an experienced Director of Speech Pathology to join the Speech Pathology Department Team at the Hervey Bay and Maryborough Hospitals within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. The Wide Bay area is arguably one of the most beautiful regions of Queensland. The Health Service stretches from Agnes Water in the North to Maryborough in the South and provides acute care services to a population of over 225,000 residents including several rural communities.

Your opportunity: To provide independent, advanced speech pathology clinical services and high-level operational management of the Speech Pathology Department, across Maryborough Hospital and Hervey Bay Hospital.To professionally lead speech pathology services within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service (South) and provide high level strategic direction, leadership and advocacy within multiple speciality areas, services and multidisciplinary teams across the Hospital and Health Service.Temporary Full Time (76 hours p.f.) from date of appointment for up to 12 months with the possibility of extension. Prior to being made an offer of employment, you will be required to demonstrate immunity to the following Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD): Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (chicken pox) and Pertussis (whooping cough).

Our offer: You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $167,587 p.a., comprising salary between $140,767 - $146,883 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP5) (Temporary Full Time, 76 hours p.f., from date of appointment for up to 12 months with the possibility of extension) (Applications will remain current for 12 months).
