At one of IHG's leading lifestyle properties, and the first Hotel Indigo launched in Australia, we're looking for an experienced Director of Sales and Marketing with the strategic acumen to drive hotel performance and ensure we achieve our commercial goals.
With a hands-on approach, the Director of Sales & Marketing will develop and execute comprehensive sales and marketing strategies, whilst building brand awareness and cultivating relationships with key stakeholders.
Hotel Indigo Adelaide Markets is a high performing operation; 145 accommodation rooms, an established restaurant - Market & Meander, and the iconic Merrymaker Rooftop Bar, with a limited conference & events space. This role would suit an existing Director of Sales & Marketing with experience in an operation of similar complexity.
Each day is different, but you'll mostly be: Proactively managing daily sales and marketing activitiesEnsuring revenue, sales and marketing strategies are set, tactical plans are created and implemented, and results are monitored and achieved to maximise profitabilityDeveloping and implementing sales plans that drive measurable incremental occupancy, increased average rates, increased volume, food and beverage and conference & events salesAnalysing current and potential market and sales trends, coordinating activities to increase revenue and market share and monitoring performance to ensure actual sales meet or exceed established revenue planDriving the development, implementation and optimisation of the Hotel marketing effortsParticipating in the development of the annual commercial budget, alongside the General ManagerEstablishing and maintaining relationships with potential clients, corporate partners, event planners, and local businessesForming strategic external alliances and partners to support the Hotel's positioning and actively promoting the Hotel and brand through community and professional involvementLeading, developing and coaching your team to deliver to their full potential, fostering a culture of continuous improvementWhat we need from you: Previous experience as a Director of Sales & Marketing in a lifestyle or premium brand hotel, of a similar size and operationAbility to work proactively and take accountability for workload and key deliverablesDemonstrated experience creating and achieving sales goals and revenue generation targetsProven knowledge and application of marketing conceptsStrong knowledge of local businesses and business trendsA passion for and proactive approach to building and cultivating relationshipsThe ability to build, motivate and lead an effective team that delivers results and is highly engagedProficiency in using systems and computer applicationsStrong time management skills and meticulous attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsMust have the full and unrestricted right to work in AustraliaWhat you can expect from us:
