We are looking for a Director of Psychology to provide integrated professional leadership, coordination, improvement and innovation for the psychology workforce and psychology practice at Latrobe Regional Health (LRH). This position works in partnership with discipline leaders, the Principal Psychology Educator and the Executive team at LRH to set the strategic direction of the discipline of psychology across Latrobe Regional Health, reporting to both the Chief Operating Officer and the Mental Health Executive Director ensuring the delivery of best practice evidenced-based treatment across all levels of the psychology workforce and for multidisciplinary colleagues providing psychological services. This is a full time on-going position.
About you You will have a passion for mental health, a desire to make a real difference and be a skilled people leader.
We are looking for candidates who:
Hold a minimum APAC accredited 2-year Master of Psychology degree qualification from an accredited course/university. Are registered with the Psychology Board of Australia (PBA). Hold an Area of Practice Endorsement recognised by the PBA in clinical psychology or neuropsychology. Hold Board-approved supervisor status. Have 10 years' experience as a psychologist. LRH cares for a population of about 300,000 and is the regional provider of specialist services. Our catchment covers 42,000 square kilometres, from Phillip Island to Mallacoota in the far east of Victoria. LRH offers cardiac care, surgery, medical, renal, emergency care, aged care, women's and children's services, pharmacy, allied health and rehabilitation. Medical and radiation oncology are offered by the Gippsland Cancer Care Centre.
