Reporting to our Chief Commercial Officer, this pivotal role will be responsible for leading our Marketing function and team.
You will oversee the implementation of all marketing aspects and develop our marketing strategy to continuously build awareness and consideration to drive sales for the Salter Brothers Hospitality portfolio.

Salter Brothers Hospitality currently operates 16 retreat hotels and estates; more than 20 restaurants and bars; 8 Spa Anise spas and other wellness facilities; as well as Spicers Scenic Rim Trail, one of the largest ecotourism ventures in Queensland with 38 rooms over five campsites.
There are plans for considerable growth in the near future.
The role and key duties: Lead the development of our commercial marketing strategy and through the line marketing activity to increase our market share year on year; Coach, mentor, and develop the Marketing team enabling them to achieve business objectives in an environment with a strong internal and external customer focus; Provide operational directions and leadership to establish and maintain a culture of teamwork, achievement, accountability, and outcome focus; Collaborate day to day across the business including the wider commercial team, operations, and finance; Create and manage the annual marketing calendar, including national promotions, local area marketing, and opening campaigns for new Hotels/Retreats; Develop and manage marketing expenditure budgets that align with strategic plans to maximise revenue and ROI; Track return on marketing investment of all marketing activities and conduct analysis of the information to use for future online/marketing strategies; Create and implement systemised processes across the marketing team that are agile and high performing; Collaborate with Revenue Management to create promotional strategies, identify cross-selling opportunities, and establish partnerships with local businesses to enhance visibility and attract customers; Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.
Essential criteria required to be considered: Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role A tertiary Marketing degree is essential Experience in the luxury Hotel/Hospitality industry is desirable Sound commercial business acumen – can demonstrate a detailed approach along with a sense of urgency and commercialism to get the job done; Working knowledge of SEO/SEM, Google Analytics, Meta and CRM Software Strong and proven expertise in digital marketing including data analysis and campaign optimisation on various platforms; Demonstrated ability with analytical and data driven thinking; Leadership skills and proven experience managing a team; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills; Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines; Detail-oriented and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
