Remuneration package of up to $536,916 p.a., comprising base salary range of $210,332 - $266,677 p.a. (L18-L27), recreational leave loading (17.5%), and employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%). Applicable allowances/benefits may include attraction and retention incentive allowance, regional and rural attraction allowance, motor vehicle allowance, professional development allowance, professional development leave (3.6 weeks p.a.), private practice arrangements, communications package, professional indemnity cover and inaccessibility allowance (if applicable). Level of appointment is dependent upon experience and advanced qualifications. Assistance with relocation expenses may also be available for this position. About the role
The successful applicant will provide high quality services as Director of Clinical Pharmacology, as well as direct clinical inpatient and outpatient care to patients in the Department of Internal Medicine or other medical specialty area. As Senior Research Fellow, the applicant will contribute to the research, academic and trials functions of the organisation, with particular emphasis on Strategic Priorities and Actions of the 2023-2026 THHS Research Strategic Plan. Areas of particular interest include but are not limited to digital health research, collaboration and early-phase clinical trials.
Role requirements Qualified as a medical practitioner with specialist qualifications and registration, or eligible for registration, as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia in the appropriate discipline.Hold specialist fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) in both Clinical Pharmacology and Internal Medicine (general or subspecialty), or qualifications from a compatible medical system such as may be judged as substantially comparable by the RACP.Holding or being substantially enrolled in a research higher degree (PhD or equivalent) would be highly desirable.Current or imminent academic appointment as Associate Professor or Professor (Level D/E), or equivalent, would be desirable.Relevant experience in electronic medication management is highly desirable.All applicants must be awarded SoCP by the THHS Credentialing and SoCP committee. All appointments are subject to maintenance of SoCP within the Clinical Services Capability Framework for the facilities in which clinical work is to be undertaken.Please refer to the role description for further details.
