Director of Business Services - Business ManagerEastside Lutheran College is an Independent Co-education Kindergarten to Year 10 Christian College in the Lutheran Tradition.
The College is currently seeking a suitably experienced person to join our Executive Leadership team as the College Director of Business Services.
The Director of Business Services serves the Eastside Lutheran College community by leading the community in financial sustainability and resource stewardship.
In doing so, they encourage all in the community to learn, care and achieve, to bring glory to God and serve the world in love.

As a trusted member of the executive team, you will report directly to the College Principal.
You will be responsible for leading the business and finance functions of the College, ensuring the College has the resources and infrastructure to deliver a contemporary education of the highest standard.
The role requires the ability to respond to tight deadlines in financial and management reporting, annual audits, budget preparations and forecasting activities, monthly accounting requirements and systems development.

An attractive salary package commensurate with the role and reflecting the skills and experience will be negotiated by Lutheran Education VIC, NSW and TAS guidelines.
Employment Basis: Full time 5-year contract, 6-month probation period will apply, commencement is from February 2025 or as mutually agreed.
Key Selection Criteria: A proven ability to plan, develop and execute business development strategies.Demonstrated ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team.Experience in risk analysis and WHS.An understanding of Employment Contracts, Awards and legislation relating to schools.Experience in Project Management.Excellent communication, listening and IT skills.A degree in Finance/Business or a related field.Membership or eligibility for membership of a relevant professional association (GIA, IPA, CA, or CPA).An active Christian faith and a willingness to uphold the ethos of the Lutheran Church of Australia.Experience working in educational institutions (preferably a member of ASBA).Good communication skills, verbal and written.Thorough understanding of accounting and bookkeeping procedures.Strong business acumen and the ability to negotiate business outcomes for the College.A high degree of competence in organisational matters related to supervising building projects and related activities.A high level of proficiency in Information Technology including Microsoft Excel.Awareness of contemporary issues and practices in financial administration, particularly in the context of management of a non-government school.Understanding of State and Commonwealth requirements for the financial management of a non-government school.A current working with children's check or ability to gain one.Desirable: Minimum four years of previous experience in a school environment (or similar).Post-graduate qualifications in Governance/Business/Management or similar.Experience using Synergetic, Alli and CompliSpace.Application process: To apply for this position applicants must submit an application containing:A resume of no more than two pages.A statement addressing the selection criteria of no more than three pages.Three referee contacts, one of which must be able to speak to the applicant's Christian faith.Applications must be submitted electronically to ******.Applications close Friday 13th of January 2025.To obtain a full position description, please contact the College via email at ******.
