TRP from $225 K to $249 K including superannuation, commensurate with experience

As the Director Native Title Claims and Advice, you'll lead a team of legal professionals focused on native title issues, ensuring that the department's legal services align with broader government objectives.
Your work will support the Attorney General and facilitate the achievement of strategic goals through expert advice and innovative legal solutions, particularly in the negotiation of Indigenous Land Use Agreements (ILUAs) and the resolution of native title claims.
You will also be a key advisor to the department's executive on native title matters.
Key challenges include balancing day-to-day operational demands with the need for forward-looking legal strategies in a rapidly changing environment.
You'll also need to manage complex cross-portfolio issues, ensuring that legal, regulatory, and compliance standards are met while driving innovative solutions that support the department's mission.
What you will bring to the role:
Demonstrated and superior current knowledge and expertise in property or native title law.
Demonstrated and superior current knowledge of administrative law and statutory interpretation.
Proven leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve shared goals.
What is an essential requirement:
Eligible to hold a current practicing certificate in NSW.
