We are seeking a visionary and strategic leader for the role of Director, Learning and Teaching Futures. This pivotal position will drive the development, delivery, review, and promotion of the University's tertiary teaching and learning strategy, emphasising innovative and flexible learning design and delivery models. The successful candidate will champion the integration of next-generation tools that advance teaching and learning outcomes and invigorate the student learning experience across both vocational and higher education.
Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage teams responsible for driving outcomes relating to the learning experience design, learning experience support and educator development inclusive of the scholarship of learning and teaching at CQUniversity.Lead the creation and implementation of a cutting-edge teaching and learning strategy that embraces innovation and flexibility and takes into consideration the adoption of next-gen tools and technologies to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.Ensure course design, pedagogies, and learning strategies are relevant, responsive, sustainable, and inclusive and attract and retain students, meeting the evolving needs of the future workforce.Promote quality course design and delivery, playing a significant leadership role within the University.Build educator capacity across various disciplines to support the University's strategic goals and trajectory.Collaborate with academic and administrative leaders to ensure the University's tertiary teaching and learning practices remain at the cutting edge.Be Rewarded4 weeks annual leaveGenerous carers and parental leave17% superannuation (with a choice of joining an award-winning superfund)Flexible and inclusive work/life balanceFantastic staff professional/career development opportunitiesAccess to an Employee Assistance ProgramPosition RequirementsProven expertise in integrating next-gen tools and technologies into tertiary teaching and learning, with specialised knowledge and proven track record in leading pedagogy, curriculum and educational best practice.Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans that enhance teaching and learning outcomes.Hold doctoral qualifications (PhD or equivalent) plus significant experience in the relevant discipline.Understanding of current professional and educational issues in the domain, through a network of industry stakeholders.Apply today for a career that changes livesWhen submitting your application, please include: Your current CV.A Cover Letter outlining your relevant skills, experience, and suitability for the position.A video no longer than 10 minutes providing a brief overview of your experience and background, and educational philosophy and vision for the future of learning and teaching.
