Child Safety, Seniors and Disabilities
Complaints Training and Review; Office of the Chief Practitioner; Child and Family Services; Brisbane
Lead and manage the Systems and Practice Review, Child Safety Complaints and Child Safety Training teams. Member of the Office of the Chief Practitioner leadership team with responsibility for key projects across the work unit.
• Lead and influence the development and implementation of contemporary case review and quality frameworks for child and family service delivery aligned to the Strengthening Families, Protecting Children Framework for Practice.
• Drive the departmental vision, goals and values and proactively lead and manage in a style consistent with the Strengthening Families Protecting Children Framework for Practice.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships across the organisation and with key external parties to support constructive engagement in review and continuous improvement processes, promoting a positive and accountable public image and the development of collaborative partnerships to support quality service delivery outcomes.
• Foster a culture of appreciative inquiry and philosophy of critical reflection across the department that focuses on the safety, belonging and wellbeing outcomes for children and families.
• Provide authoritative and strategic advice to senior management on issues relating to case reviews, specifically child deaths and serious injuries, in accordance with the various Acts and the department's policy and procedures.
• Contribute through the Office of the Chief Practitioner leadership team to the analysis of key legislative, policy and practice issues that impact on the delivery of effective and efficient service delivery to children, young people and families.
• Manage the human, financial and operational resources of the work unit to ensure the achievement of strategic and business objectives.
