Do you want to contribute to the safety and security of the ACT?The Security and Emergency Management Division (SEMD) is primarily responsible for the development and coordination of strategic security and emergency management policy matters for the ACT Government. SEMD has a whole-of-government focus and works closely with security and emergency management personnel across all Directorates.We are looking for the right person to lead and champion our governance and provide high level committee and secretariat support. If you are super organised, self-motivated and enjoy working in a fast paced and dynamic environment, you will excel in this position. Ideally you will have sound communication and negotiation skills and have well developed customer services skills. Experience in finance management would be an advantage.We are after someone that has great process, coordination, and communication skills, and who can manage their own working day to get everything done on time. Key duties will include ensuring responsiveness and timeliness in Ministerial and Executive matters, overseeing internal and external recommendations, managing HR and finance matters, monitoring organisational plans, and acting as a central point of contact for the Division.How you go about your work is important to us and we value the positive workplace culture in our division.
