Complex, mission critical fleet leadership role Senior Executive Band 1 role, TRP $202,705 - $226,808 pa. Are you a seasoned fleet leader searching for a job with purpose?

About the role: The Director Fleet Management leads and oversees fleet programs and operations, ensuring availability and readiness of fit for purpose appliances, vehicles and associated plant and equipment that enables emergency service operations.

In this role you will lead a diverse team of approximately 60 people spanning trades and operational support specialists in a dynamic emergency services environment.

You'll have great business acumen.
A blend of strategic thinking, financial insight, resource planning, vendor management and operational expertise that enables you to make informed and effective decisions.

You can oversee financial performance, uphold the highest standards of fiscal responsibility and provide strategic guidance to your senior leadership.
You are keen to use your financial insights to drive strategic proposals for capital and ongoing investment in fleet.

You have a genuine enthusiasm for heavy machinery and working with complex equipment.
This interest drives you to stay updated on the latest technological advancements, appreciate the intricacies of machinery design and function, and drives a commitment to nurturing and growing the skills of your people.

Your unique multifaceted background, talents and strengths drawn from your life experiences enables you to lead with empathy, authenticity, and resilience, inspiring and guiding others towards shared goals.

Your leadership experience may have been in a range of sectors requiring a complex heavy fleet, such as emergency services, defence, mining, and transport.
Public sector experience is not an essential requirement.
