About the Department
The Department of Environment, Parks and Water Security (DEPWS) is the NT's lead agency in the collection, provision of and access to natural resource data, information and advice for government, research institutions, industry and the public. DEPWS holds extensive data assets and is heavily dependent on data for expert decision making, which helps underpin economic development. To deliver on these functions, DEPWS produces a diverse range of data and information that must be trusted, curated, contemporary and readily accessible.
About the Position
This position is a permanent, full time position located in Palmerston, NT. The position will provide strategic leadership in the management, maintenance and storage of environmental data, information technology and business systems for the department. As the leader of the Environmental Data Branch (EDB), the position will collaborate and support processes across the department to ensure that data, technology and systems are consistent and optimise data outcomes that meet stakeholder needs.
