Director Digital Healthcare and Innovation Queensland Ambulance Service (Organisation site)Digital Health Care and Innovation; Office of the Medical Director; Head Office; Kedron The Director, Digital Healthcare and Innovation provides strategic leadership and applied expert level clinical advice to the QAS Medical Director and senior executives surrounding healthcare improvement, innovation and emerging healthcare delivery models. The role is responsible for the delivery and strategic development of emerging and novel models of care in partnership with both internal and external stakeholders, utilising multiple modes of improvement including emerging digital healthcare technologies. This includes improvements to, and reform of the QAS pre-hospital model of care to ensure the highest quality of services are delivered to the community. We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes: Expert managerial knowledge, skills and high-level strategic leadership capabilities coupled with a specialist level of clinical expertise and detailed understanding of ambulance and health service delivery, including the issues impacting on statewide healthcare system performance. Demonstrated ability to influence a complex health service including supporting the operations of a large and diverse workforce to deliver virtual pre-hospital care within a dynamic and demanding environment. Demonstrated experience in coordinating and leading projects through development, implementation, evaluation and sustainability in the health or emergency services sector, including the application of expert level clinical expertise in the field of pre-hospital care. Highly developed conceptual, analytical and clinical reasoning skills, including a demonstrated ability to interpret trend/output/outcome performance data and provide authoritative advice to senior executives, which contributes to quality decision making within the QAS digital healthcare strategy. Demonstrated high level communication, consultation, negotiation and influencing skills with a proven ability to liaise effectively, maintain productive relationships and collaborate with multiple key stakeholders including executive management, clients, healthcare providers, and the community, to advocate and achieve desired outcomes for the QAS. Expert level skills and knowledge of new and emerging technologies to promote innovation and improvement to clinical service delivery and proven success in leading change management processes to ensure the effective implementation of clinical service delivery reform. The following mandatory requirements, special conditions and/or other requirements apply to this role: Whilst not mandatory, a tertiary or postgraduate qualification in paramedicine, management, leadership, or another relevant discipline will be highly regarded. The incumbent may be required to travel on official business and the possession of a C class driver's licence may be required. Position may require participation in shift work (including weekends and public holidays), on-call duties and undertake overtime. Applications to remain current for 12 months.
