About the Role (your why)

Datascape equips councils with the tools to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and elevate service delivery. Comprising a suite of ERP modules and standalone digital enablement tools, Datascape can be seamlessly integrated within a council's digital ecosystem, providing a flexible and tailored solution. The Datascape Director will oversee a team of 200 software and local government professionals, driving growth in customer base and revenue in alignment with long-term plans. This role encompasses product management and development, professional services, customer success, sales, and support.

What you'll bring
Broad and deep understanding of software products, platform and software technology, software development, and operations. Demonstrated success in strategy development and implementation and meeting objectives around growth in revenue and returns. Strength in financial management, with a clear understanding of the relationship between capital invested and future cash flows both from recurring software fees and project services, and ability to form and manage multi-year budgets. Ability to form productive relationships and influence key prospects and customers. Experience in the use of research and data to inform product planning and the prioritisation of development. Experience driving customer acquisition through GTM strategy spanning product, marketing, and sales. Proven track record of achieving or exceeding budgeted sales and profit objectives. Experience scaling a product business beyond $50M annual revenue. An appreciation of the power of ecosystems and experience establishing or participating in an ecosystem or network of partnerships. 15+ years of General Management / Operational management experience. Experience in executive leadership and managing and mentoring people and teams. Strong general business acumen. Ability to work on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of business trends. Responsibilities
Leading the development and execution of strategy. Building a culture of excellence and learning that supports our people as they build rewarding careers at Datacom. Building long-lasting, robust customer relationships and ensuring that customer relationships are carefully managed throughout all aspects of service delivery across the organisation. Developing sales and marketing strategies to meet agreed performance targets within budget and timelines. Developing customer success and retention strategies. Championing product modernisation and evolution roadmaps that align with Datacom Group strategy while meeting current and future customer requirements. Advocating for evolving ways of working and cross-functional collaboration with teams to implement change. Managing the relationships with (and between) external agencies and suppliers, ensuring contracts and service levels are negotiated in line with strategic aims and financial constraints and ongoing service is in line with agreed contracts. Maintaining awareness and knowledge of market/industry development and providing suitable interpretation to leaders and teams within the organisation. Culture and Benefits
