Expression of Interest for a 6-month opportunity with Cyber Security NSW Based in Sydney CBD (McKell Building) with hybrid working arrangements available
Total remuneration range: $218,965 to $243,068 commensurate with experience About the role
Cyber Security NSW is seeking an optimistic individual looking for a challenge as Director Cyber Security Defence & Capability.
This role leads 4 direct and 35 indirect employees and is responsible for the whole of government coordination efforts enhancing the NSW Government's capability to detect, assess and respond to cyber security incidents while fostering a resilient cyber security culture across NSW Government.
In this role you will:
Oversee the ongoing development of initiatives of cyber security and defence initiatives.
Manage a 24/7 cyber incident response and forensic capability, providing essential support to NSW Government agencies.
Support the office of the NSW Chief Cyber Security Officer on the delivery of branch initiatives and actively contribute as part of the Cyber Security NSW senior leadership team providing expert operational and technical advice.
Implement proactive measures to identify vulnerabilities and risks through targeted scanning, monitoring, and threat intelligence, aligned with industry best practices.
Lead the All-of-Government Technical Officers Group to address cyber incidents in accordance with the NSW Emergency Management Cyber Incident Response Plan.
Drive the development of the NSW Cyber Portal and enhance technical capabilities while ensuring adherence to security policies and standards.
