Gladstone Hospital provides a range of services to Gladstone and the Banana region.
A new emergency department is being built which will double the department's current capacity.
Our Destination 2030: Great Care for Central Queenslanders strategy will see Gladstone Hospital developed as a centre for emergency care, medical inpatient and day surgery excellence.
This will optimise outreach services to deliver care closer to home in the Gladstone and Banana rural communities.
As a member of the Gladstone and Banana Business Unit leadership team, the position will work collaboratively with the clinical, operational, and administrative leaders and teams to ensure that services are patient-centred, safe, and delivered in an appropriate and reliable environment.
Specifically, the role will provide leadership and operational management for the Administrative and Operational teams of the Gladstone and Banana Hospital, have responsibility for Gladstone Hospital facilities and equipment management, and oversee contract management for the Gladstone and Banana Business Unit and, as required, across the CQHHS.
About you: Non-mandatory qualifications/requirements: Whilst not mandatory, a relevant post-graduate qualification in health or management would be highly regarded.
Understands the organisation's role and considers multiple perspectives when assessing key issues on the organisation and community.
Builds and sustains relationships within the organisation, across the public service, and with a diverse range of external stakeholders.
Clarifies and effectively communicates broad and highly complex issues to a wide range of audiences.
What we offer: Salary information:
Total remuneration value of up to $182,185 p.a.
is comprised of:
An hourly rate between $76.10 - $80.53 p.h.
