An exciting temporary opportunity is currently available for an experienced Director (Contracts and Commercial Management) to join the Executive Services Team at the Bundaberg, Hervey Bay or Maryborough Hospitals within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. The Wide Bay area is arguably one of the most beautiful regions of Queensland, providing acute care services to a population of over 225,000 residents including several rural communities.
Your opportunity: The Director (Contracts and Commercial Management) is primarily responsible for the planning, design, drafting, negotiation, implementation, and administration of agreements with both public and private entities. This role will establish and maintain professional working relationships with stakeholders within Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service (WBHHS), other Health Services, the private sector, and the Systems Manager. It will support the Health Service Chief Executive to oversee and lead innovative and effective program management, aligning the organisation to its key objectives.The Director is responsible for providing or sourcing high-level legal advice to the Board, Executive, and senior officers of the WBHHS, specifically related to legal risk management, commercial law, contract management, and corporate governance matters, and will provide day-to-day oversight relating to key contractual and commercial law issues for WBHHS.Temporary Full Time (76 hours p.f.) from 2nd December 2024 until 19th January 2025 with the possibility of extension. Flexible working conditions available including working from home at the location of your choice. Our offer: You will receive a competitive salary between $6,691.60 - $6,998.20 p.f., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%).
