THE ROLE
The Director, Aboriginal Housing and Homelessness leads Homes Victoria's development and implementation of policy measures that support the housing needs of Aboriginal people. The Director will work collaboratively across government and with key Aboriginal community stakeholders to deliver initiatives identified in Mana-na woorn-tyeen maar-takoort: Every Aboriginal Person Has a Home - The Victorian Aboriginal Housing and Homelessness Framework
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
Lead the development and implementation of departmental planning, strategies and policies to improve the housing, health, wellbeing and safety outcomes of Aboriginal Victorians. Strengthen and sustain engagement and partnership approaches between the department and Aboriginal communities, organisations and communities that progress principles of self-determination, co-design and collaborative effort in policy design and implementation.
