Kimba Pioneer Memorial Hostel is seeking passionate Direct Care Workers to join our Residential Care Home team.
Your responsibilities will include: Bed makingBathing, showering, personal hygiene and groomingToileting/continence managementMaintenance of mobility/dexterityDistribution of clean laundry/personal attireCleaning of equipment, aids, utensils in work area and cleanliness and neatness of clients' environmentTransportation of clientsAssist with self-administration of medication on medical authorityAssist with the provision of routine treatments and proceduresYou will have experience in a similar role where you can demonstrate the ability to exercise your own judgment and initiative in the day-to-day execution of a position. With effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to relate to people from different cultures, backgrounds, and circumstances, you will enjoy working collaboratively with consumers, families, and carers. Proven ability to use discretion and maintain strict confidentiality is required as well as experience in the use of computer packages.
