Create news stories for the ABCSalary $78K to $87K The Role Our dynamic News QLD team is seeking an efficient Digital Producer to provide daily content production for ABC News Online, delivering a consistently high standard of original, creative and relevant material. Working with the QLD Digital Editor.
The Job Pitch stories and contribute ideas and angles for digital coverage of metro and state stories and events. Live blog and send mobile alerts to assist with breaking news coverageProduce and sub digital content (text, photos, audio and video) for news websites using CoreMedia and other production systemsWrite and check stories for factual and style errors/inconsistencies and ensure content is accurate, timely and innovativeAbout You Use your accomplished digital journalism skills and experience working in a newsroom environment to deliver content to tight deadlines and with a high level of accuracy. You can work autonomously and have a strong understanding of online news, including social media and methods of online content distribution and engagement.
You'll have:
A demonstrated track record as a meticulous, fast and accurate sub-editor able to correct and, where necessary, rewrite copy to the highest standards. A well-developed understanding of Queensland issues across a range of topics, particularly politics and a wide range of knowledge of national and international News issues with a strong understanding of and commitment to the needs of the audience.
