The Opportunity We are seeking an innovative Digital Media and Communications Officer to join our team.
In this position, you will be responsible for providing quality communications, marketing and governance services and support to and on behalf of the Shire, and identifying opportunities in the area of marketing for the organisation.
Your responsibilities will include: Processing filming and photography applications, drafting permits where required for CEO approval; Developing relationships with all customers, media and key stakeholders; Assisting the Executive Officer to the CEO as required with meetings and events relating to Council and the CEO including but not limited to Ordinary, Special Council and Committee Meetings.
Certificate IV in Marketing and Communication or Journalism are essential for this role.
You will also have a high level of written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Word and Adobe Creative Cloud, demonstrated experience in liaising with a range of stakeholders, and the ability to maintain strong and productive relationships.

An attractive remuneration package will include base salary, East Kimberley Allowances, location allowance, and 11.5% Superannuation.
This role is part-time with a remuneration package (inclusive of superannuation) ranging between $49,500 to $51,620 (pro-rata, dependent on skills and experience) per annum.
