About the opportunity The Digital Engineering and Standards Manager will lead the development and implementation of SA Power Networks' digital engineering strategy. This role is responsible for driving the standardisation of technical designs and processes across Asset Management and Operations to ensure long-term success. The manager will oversee the creation, management, and continuous improvement of Compatible Units and assembly libraries, ensuring these assets are accurate, valuable, and aligned with the organisation's strategic goals.
A critical component of the role is engaging with internal and external stakeholders to stay updated on regulatory changes, maintain compliance with industry standards, and foster a feedback-driven approach to enhancing digital engineering practices. You will also ensure the accuracy of risk management and cost estimates associated with standardised designs.
Key role objectives include Lead Digital Engineering Strategy: Develop and implement the strategy for digital engineering across the organisation, embedding a collaborative culture and integrated processes with stakeholders. Continuous Improvement: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of digital innovations, driving ongoing improvements in engineering practices. Standardisation & Compliance: Maintain standards for network construction, inspection, maintenance, and operations, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Program Management: Oversee the work across the Technical and Equipment Standards teams, ensuring tasks are prioritised, completed, and aligned with stakeholder needs. Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with senior leadership and portfolio leaders to ensure the digital engineering strategy supports business goals and regulatory requirements. Extensive asset management experience, preferably in power utilities. Proven leadership in digital engineering and standardisation initiatives.
