Hastings Deering (Australia) LtdAbout the role We are currently recruiting for a Digital Business Analyst to join our experienced Digital Technology Team at our cutting-edge South Brisbane office, on a 12-month fixed-term position.
As a Digital Business Analyst operating in an Agile environment, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of the Digital and Innovation strategy. Your responsibilities will include analysing the business domain and communicating project requirements.
Reporting to the Manager - Business Analyst, you will be responsible for defining and communicating project requirements by using your analytical and creative problem-solving skills to help shape, design, and create exciting and innovative digital solutions that deliver real value to both end users and the business.
Key Responsibilities This role will involve the following key duties and responsibilities:
Define and document current and future state processes in the context of the wider business Own elicitation and elaboration of user story and acceptance criteria (workshops) and analysis of static information sources i.e. document requirements Curate user story backlog on an ongoing basis Act as the key interface between business stakeholders, the Product Manager/Owner and the technical squad for identified projects Facilitate a team to consensus on scope, design decisions, and implementation decisions Apply agile analysis – user stories, backlog refinement, elaboration, story mapping, prioritisation techniques (Moscow, 100-point etc) Ensure that all solutions developed are value-add-driven and validated with business benefits vs costs – assists with prioritisation of true high-value requirements Facilitate product backlog grooming sessions to ensure the inputs are suitably ready for refinement and outputs meet an agreed definition Break down problems and develop effective requirements and acceptance criteria in collaboration with the team Collaborate with the Product Manager/ Owner in clarifying the problem statement, MVP, deployment and implementation approach Essential requirements Minimum 3 years experience working in a business and/or technical analysis role in a Portfolio or Program Management Office or large transformation program Tertiary qualifications (bachelor's degree in a quantitative field like economics, finance, computer science, data science, statistics, information management, engineering or a similar field) Business Analyst or Agile Certification The ability to synthesize information from various sources to derive conclusions and determine next steps. Strong facilitation skills (stakeholder presentations and agile ceremonies) Excellent communication skills with an ability to communicate business needs/ issues and requirements Highly empathetic towards customers and can influence product leaders using design thinking to help develop an iterative product roadmap, including solution prototypes, new features and regular product releases Why Sime Darby?
